Join SourceAmerica in Celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month

October is recognized as National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). SourceAmerica is celebrating this year's theme, "Disability: Part of the Equity Equation," and recognizing the role people with disabilities play in our country’s diverse workforce.

Our nation's workforce is more successful, productive, and innovative when people of all abilities participate in the larger "equation." We're proud to support NDEAM, an annual observance led by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy. We’ve planned several activities to mark the occasion and bring further awareness to NDEAM. Website visitors can explore our NDEAM section, and we're also releasing special web stories and social media content. We’re also connecting with our national network of nonprofit agencies and highlighting the ways they are celebrating the month. Lastly, you may spot us honoring NDEAM in some of your favorite media outlets.

This year's focus on the equity equation speaks directly to our mission to "increase the employment of people with disabilities by building solid partnerships with the federal government and engaging a national network of nonprofit agencies and experts." This means that the recognition aspect of NDEAM doesn't end for us come Nov. 1 — we're genuinely committed all year long!

Working together with other organizations, policymakers, and people like you, we're making progress every day in shaping a more inclusive employment landscape.
