Embracing business integrity and ethics

Each year, SourceAmerica® sets aside an entire month to educate its employees about ethics and ethical decision-making. Why? Because it’s the foundation of how we do business. We know that our organization’s reputation is one of the most valuable assets we have and preserving it is essential to retaining our talented employees and loyal customers.

As Oprah Winfrey once said, “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that nobody's going to know whether you did it or not.” SourceAmerica is genuinely dedicated to our values and our mission of creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We link federal agencies with product and service needs to our vast nonprofit agency network that employs and trains talented and hard-working individuals. Because of this unique working relationship, we’re able to create jobs that not only pay the bills but change lives. We also work with many other stakeholders to ensure the interests of people with disabilities are represented as societal and legislative objectives evolve.

For these reasons, we hold our employees accountable to a strict Code of Conduct that promotes integrity in the way we do business and interact with each other. Collectively, the policies covered in our Code of Conduct provide clear guidelines to help our employees make ethical decisions the first time (and every time!) in the important work we do. Employees must annually affirm their commitment to our Code of Conduct and Conflicts of Interest policies. Moreover, each year every nonprofit agency in our network is expected to also commit to promoting an organizational culture that encourages the highest degree of ethical behavior and an unwavering commitment to compliance with the laws and regulations, and a value-based working environment. Their leaders are responsible for ensuring that their organization's policies and procedures comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

We also strive to maintain a positive and healthy work environment at SourceAmerica. As part of this, we have a dedicated Business Integrity and Ethics team that offers employees guidance, educational resources, and a channel for reporting possible ethical violations and concerns as needed.

SourceAmerica’s work is one-of-a-kind, and we want to continue our work on behalf of people with disabilities for generations to come. By adhering to the highest standards of ethical behavior, we’ll be able to accomplish great things.
