Make production goals and current production levels visual for staff to monitor.

Implementation Process

Process

  • Each hour, charts posted by workstations are updated with current production goals
  • The charts also list the current production goals and customer requirements
  • Staff can compare their production rate to the goals and monitor their progress

    • Policies and procedures for managing the charts
  • Training
    • Staff understanding of charts

Outcomes/Results

  • Staff are empowered to monitor their own production levels and
  • Production and participation is increased
  • Productivity improvements lead to higher business volume opportunities and higher wages
