Practice Description

Beacon Group has a very large multi-purpose meeting room that the organization uses only periodically, so it has made this room available to community groups at no cost.

Implementation Process

  • Used as a marketing tool to establish and foster relationships with other nonprofit agencies, community organizations, and business partners.
  • These meetings provide Beacon Group with an opportunity to conduct tours of the organization to the individuals or groups that might otherwise be unfamiliar with its mission and provide wonderful opportunities for both job and business development.

Outcomes/Results

  • Through Beacon Group’s outreach efforts, the room is being utilized for an average of three to four meetings per month by nonprofits and other community groups.
  • Creating and strengthening relationships with other organizations in the community.
